FAQs about Eurostar

How early should I arrive for Eurostar at London St Pancras International Station?
󱒃
Arrive 90 minutes before departure. This allows enough time for all pre-departure checks, including border and luggage checks.
How early should you arrive for the Eurostar in Europe?
󱒃
For trains to London, arrive 90 minutes before departure. This allows more time for border and luggage checks, ensuring a smooth and stress-free boarding process. For trains traveling only within the European continent, arrive at least 20 minutes before departure for a stress-free boarding experience.
What happens if you are late for Eurostar?
󱒃

If you are late for your Eurostar train and arrive after it has departed, you will typically be considered a "no-show," and your ticket may not be valid for a later train. This is particularly the case for Eurostar Standard and Eurostar Plus tickets (new fares from November 4, 2024). However, if you have a Eurostar Premier ticket, you can change to a new date or time, or request a refund within 48 hours after the original departure time.

If you realise you are running late, contact Eurostar staff as soon as possible. They may be able to assist you in rebooking your journey, although this could incur additional fees.

Can I change my booking?
󱒃
Typically, you can change the time and date of your Eurostar ticket, but not the destination. If you wish to travel on a different route, you will need to purchase a new ticket. Exchange conditions vary based on your fare type. Starting from 4th November 2024, Eurostar Standard and Eurostar Plus tickets can be changed without a fee up to one hour before departure, although any fare difference must be paid. With Eurostar Premier tickets, you can exchange your tickets for free up to 48 hours after the original departure time.
Can I cancel my ticket and get a refund?
󱒃

Refund policies differ depending on the fare type. From 4th November 2024, for Eurostar Standard and Eurostar Plus tickets, you can obtain a refund for a fee if you cancel at least seven days prior to departure. The fee is £/€25 per person for each segment of the journey, or £/€50 per person for a full refund on a return ticket.

For Eurostar Premier tickets, you can receive a refund without any fee up to 48 hours after the scheduled departure time. Beyond this 48-hour window, tickets are non-refundable.

Do I need to print out Eurostar tickets?
󱒃
No, you don't necessarily need to print out Eurostar tickets. You can receive your ticket via email or on your TrainPal account and either print it out or save it to your phone.
