If you’re travelling from Milan city centre to Milano Porta Garibaldi train station, the distance is 1.8 miles (3 km). If you decide to walk, the best route is along Viale Monte Grappa. While walking is an enjoyable way to see the city, you can also take two subways to get to the city centre. Visitors can take the yellow line (M3) from Duomo then switch to the green line (M2) or take the red line (M1) to Cadorna FS then change to the green line (M2). Both options take approximately 10min. From Milan Malpensa Airport, the Express train runs every 30min and is a convenient way to get to the station quickly. Local buses also run to all parts of the city and schedules can be found at the airport and main train station

The airport can be reached by public transit using S1, S2, S5, S6 or S13 train til Milano Porta Vittoria and then taking the bus 73. The whole transit will take arond 35-40 min
