Departing from Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough Station sits between Zetland Road and Bridge Street West, right at the edge of the town centre and not far from Riverside Stadium, home to the town’s pride and joy: Middlesbrough FC since 1995.

Several UK train operators, including Northern, LNER, and TransPennine Express, serve this station. Local public buses stop beside the station, and the closest taxi rank is at the station’s Bridge Street entrance.

There are approximately nine stops between Middlesbrough and Manchester Victoria: Thornaby, Eaglescliffe, Yarm, Northallerton, Thirsk, York, Leeds, Huddersfield, and Stalybridge.

Arriving at Manchester Victoria

Manchester Victoria is located on Todd Street, along Station Approach, in the north of the city centre. Because it’s one of the busiest stations in Manchester, it’s exceptionally well connected.

Firstly, the station is connected to its bigger brother: Manchester Piccadilly, which is excellent if you need to make an onward journey to London or get to Manchester Airport. Secondly, Metrolink trams, bus stops, taxis, and a nearby coach station are all within easy reach of Manchester Victoria.

There are tons of things to do nearby, including the National Football Museum and Chetham’s Library, a public library that has been operating for over 350 years. And, not to forget, the AO Arena is only a few minutes' walk away. It has hosted famous comedy stars, WWE, and an encyclopaedia of legendary musical acts, extending from The Rolling Stones to Adele to The Weeknd.
