• Luggage: Space is limited, so passengers are recommended to only bring up to three items of luggage on board. Use overhead racks and designated luggage areas for larger bags; smaller items can be stored beneath your seat. Please keep aisles, doors and wheelchair spaces clear at all times.
• Bicycles: Bikes and e-bikes are welcome on board, with space available on a first-come, first-served basis. Not all trains have dedicated bike storage, so availability may vary. Folding bikes can be stored as luggage and should remain folded for the whole journey.
• Children: Kids under 5 can travel free of charge without a seat reservation, while children aged 5-15 are eligible for fares at half-price. Families travelling together can save even more with a Family & Friends railcard – with a third off adult fares and 60% off child fares. Older teens can also benefit from half-price tickets with the 16-17 Saver railcard.
• Pets: Passengers can bring up to two pets on board at no extra cost. Dogs must be kept on a lead or in a secure carrier, and all pets should be on the floor, not on seats.
• Passenger Assist: Whether it’s boarding, navigating stations or carrying luggage, passengers who need a bit of extra help can request assistance through Passenger Assist. Booking in advance is recommended, but help can also be arranged by speaking to staff at larger stations on the day.
