As you might have figured out, Stansted Airport Station is in, well, Stansted Airport in Essex, underneath the airport terminal on Bassingbourn Road.
Because it’s attached to the airport, it’s incredibly well-connected to public transport and of course very easy to reach if you’ve just landed in the UK at the airport.
Greater Anglia, which runs the Stansted Express, and CrossCountry serve Stansted Airport Station. Alternatively, Stansted Mountfitchet Station is located on Station Road and is served by local bus routes.
Local buses and national coach services also stop at the airport bus stations. Hiring a local taxi to drop you off at the airport entrance is also possible.
Main stops
There are only two stops between Stansted Airport and London Liverpool Street. They are at Harlow Town and Tottenham Hale.
From Stansted Mountfitchet Station to London Liverpool Street, there are seven stops: Bishops Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Harlow Mill, Harlow Town, Broxbourne, Cheshunt, and Tottenham Hale.
These stops may change due to engineering works, scheduling changes, or simply due to poor weather. It’s best to check before you travel to make sure.
Arriving at London Liverpool Street
