Manchester Victoria Train Station
Since its opening in 1844, Manchester Victoria has undergone many renovations. For instance, its resplendent Edwardian frontage dates back to 1909 and still looks outstanding today.
More recently, the station underwent a thorough renaissance when it was modernised in 2015. This programme breathed a new lease of life into the station and scrupulously updated its décor. Nevertheless, it retains some features of its former self, such as the baroque-style Edwardian façade carrying the original Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway signage near the station’s main exit.
Manchester Victoria provides a host of services and amenities for its passengers, including:
- A ticket office at the main concourse (opening times: Monday to Saturday: 6.30am – 10.00pm; Sunday: 8am – 10.15pm). You can book train tickets as well as monthly and annual season tickets at the ticket office.
- Self-service ticket machines and accessible ticket machines. Plus, you can collect tickets you have bought online from the self-service machines.
- Step-free access to all platforms.
- Boards to check the real-time train timetable.
- ATMs, shops, and hospitality.
- Post boxes.
- 38 bicycle storage stands are near the lifts at platform 3.
