Departing from Durham

Durham station is a simple, yet picturesque station perched above Durham City Centre and its magnanimous, world-beating cathedral. It is located on North Road, just on the edge of the city centre.

It is accessible by local bus routes and has a car park plus spaces for taxis to drop you off right outside the station’s entrance. If you aren’t carrying heavy bags and don’t mind a steep walk, then it’s perfectly possible to walk to the station from Durham bus station.

King’s Cross London Underground station serves several tube lines, including the Circle, Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City, and Victoria lines. Taxis and bus routes are conveniently located just outside the station.

There’s a wealth of activities to enjoy near London Kings Cross. Regent’s Park, the British Museum, the British Library, and Camden are all within walking distance, and some of the finest hotels are situated close to the station, too. Also, the rest of London is ready for you to visit via the tube; it couldn’t be simpler or more accessible.
