Bath Spa Train Station

Bath Spa Train Station was built in 1840 and designed by Britain’s extraordinary engineer, Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Brunel purposely intended for the station to blend into the city’s illustrious Georgian architecture, which still looks marvellous today. Even now, the station is one of the UK’s most iconic and most beloved. It’s no wonder, then, that when your train arrives at Bath Spa, you’ve just entered a Grade II listed building.

Bath Spa Train Station is the busiest station in Somerset, and the second busiest in South West England after Bristol Temple Meads.

Bath Spa Train Station’s grand architecture aside, the station also provides passengers with a range of services and amenities, including:

A ticket office (opening times: Monday to Saturday: 6.00am – 8.00pm; Sunday: 7.45am – 8.00pm). You can book train tickets as well as monthly and annual season tickets at the ticket office.

  • Self-service ticket machines and accessible ticket machines. Plus, you can collect tickets you have bought online from the self-service machines.
  • First class lounge (opening times: Monday to Friday: 6am – 7.30pm; Saturday: 8am – 6pm; Sunday 9.30am – 7.30pm).
  • Step-free access to all platforms.
  • Boards to check the real-time train timetable.
  • ATMs, shops, and hospitality.
  • Public telephones, public Wi-Fi, and post boxes.
  • 103 bicycle storage stands at the rear side of the station.
